Practical Infos
OPENING The Parallel Universe starts on Saturday, 29.8.2020 at 12:00h. Our Volunteers already arrive on Friday to set everything up.
CLOSING OF THE DOORS: Be punctual! The doors close at 14:00h and everyone has to participate in the opening circle! There will be NO EXCEPTIONS! Also, we won’t accept new applications AT THE DOOR. So don’t bring any unregistered friends! However, we still have 20 Spots free, so it is still possible for them to register! We are closing the Doors at 14:00h on time! More Infos about the Onboarding are below.
TICKET Since you are reading this message, you have already reserved your spot and hopefully already paid the fee – if not, please do so NOW online (Psw: RegularUniverse or SupporterUniverse) or bring the money to the venue.
To enter, you won’t need a ticket: your name will be on the list. At the entrance, we onboard you simply with your name and bring your ID to prove your identity.
Please note: If we do not receive payment or your cancelation, you’ll end up on the blacklist for future events.
Because we have to make crucial investments calculated on the number of reservations, cancelations are only accepted till 72h before the event. If you haven’t paid and cancel now without a good reason we kindly ask you to send the money via Banktransfer.

ONBOARDING: When you enter the location please first check in with the team waiting for you and fill out the Boarding pass. During the whole onboarding process, remember the mandatory 1.5 m safety distance, and please wear your mask. When you enter the Hall it’s your own responsibility to wear a mask. Since infection risk is significantly lower outdoors compared to indoors, we’ll try to have as many of the activities happen outdoors in the Garden & the open tents. In the big Hall we will try to have good airflow. We are obliged to ask you to wear masks indoors but we are aware that it might not be possible while drinking, eating or other activities. But you have to have your mask always with you!
RIDESHARE Please share your ride if you arrive by car! A lot of people are searching – use the rideshare list to offer available spots! ( Link in your mailbox )
FOOD & DRINKS As we aim to create an inclusive space – we try hard to keep our ticket prices low. Unfortunately, the entrance fees barely cover our expenses. By buying a smoothie, fresh lemonade, ice teas & sweet yummy things at the bar you can support the project additionally. Coffee and hot tea are gifted to you!
Samuele will cook us some amazing Pizzas! Please bring cash. At the entrance, you exchange your cash to a Parallel Universe Card (5€ – 50€). If you have special dietary needs feel free to bring your own food and drinks.
COVID-SPECIAL Due to the coronavirus-pandemic we need to apply some special rules. Before you enter, assess your own COVID-risk and choose a wristband in the color that matches your risk-tolerance: red and green

Till 2 am there will be consent angels checking in and reassuring a safe space. After that we ask you to be quiet and rely on your self for your safety.

More participation, more engagement, more community –
we have some special news to announce!
CO-CREATION We want to encourage our guests to create this Parallel Universe together! Active participation is a key element – we invite everyone to contribute in one way or another. There’s a shift plan to coordinate the many tasks among participants. In this document you can read more about the different tasks and shifts.
From build-up to tear-down, helping hands at the bar, in the kitchen or in workshop preparation, join us in co-creation! Think: cutting veggies, tidying the terrain, looking after the others as a consent angel. We kindly ask every participant to pick a shift – it’s a great way to get to know other participants and will add hugely to your karma-account!
Please note if you want to be a consent angel you have to be experienced in S+ Spaces and have to attend the Consent Angel Meeting on Saturday at 12:30h.
Can’t decide where to help? You will have the chance to pick one during the onboarding process at our Volunteer Desk. Melly & Meg will do their best to find a suitable shift for you.

Covid & Consent
COVID-RISK We adapted our program to the current COVID-19-situation concerning the safety distance. We will offer workshops where you can choose the distance or closeness you want to allow for yourself. The love space will be available for people of the same pod (couples, lovers, polycules, roommates, family) and we will have a separate list to check-in and out. Due to the rapid changes of the COVID-19-measures, we ask you to stay updated – changes might apply any time. Please read the special conditions carefully: https://theparalleluniverse.org/covid/
SELF RESPONSIBILITY We want to emphasize that you can leave workshops, exercises and the event at any time – we encourage you to take care of yourself! Please also evaluate your own covid-risk-assessment in advance. For help, we encourage you to read the covid care article by Evelin Dacker. Become clear how physically close you are able and willing to be with people and be aware that legal boundaries make it necessary to keep a safety distance of 1,5 m between people at the events. We are obliged to ask you to wear masks indoors but we are aware that it might not be possible while drinking, eating or other things.
SAFETY MEASURES & HYGIENE
We will check the temperature of every guest at the entrance and we will ask you to fill out this Boarding pass. We ask you to come to our events in good health and in absence of any COVID-19 symptoms. If there is any doubt, we trust you to make the right choice and discontinue your attendance immediately. Please use the Hand sanitiser often and wash your hands regularly.
SAFER SPACE We aim to create the safest space possible, yet you are participating at your own risk. We invite a good amount of self-reliance and ask you to reach out if you feel unsafe or insecure. We will encourage safer sex practices and will provide condoms, dental dams and gloves. We also encourage you to get tested regularly on Covid & STIs! CONSENT ANGELS Consent Angels are our guardians and your safety contact in case you need support, feel confused or insecure. Whenever you have a question, feel overwhelmed or challenged, don’t hesitate to reach out to them or the organizer Janina Vivianne. Consent Angels will be wearing recognizable costumes or accessories. We will introduce them at the events so everyone can easily find them at any time.
Phone & Photo
PHONE USAGE We won’t collect your smartphones or put stickers on your camera, but we kindly ask you to limit the usage of your phone. Let’s be present and forget this digital device for some time.
If you really need to carry your phone, we trust you to follow our principles: Don’t take nonconsensual pictures, make sure it won’t make any annoying sounds and at least don’t use it during the workshops. Please learn more about the photo-consent-rules in our FAQ.
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS We will have one photographer around. We will document performances and workshop-facilitators, but will never portrait the guests without explicit consent. We are aware of the vulnerable space that they enter. We therefore will take a lot of precautions. The crew will also take greatest care to not film anybody by accident – we will not film people in the background or avoid situations where people could accidentally step into the picture. We will not show anybody in any uncomfortable or exposing way. However, it is our aim to spread the word – about body- and sex-positivity, consent and the sex-positive movement. Therefore we will capture the Parallel Universe in still and moving pictures. More on this is shared in the FAQ and will be said in the welcoming circle.

What is the Parallel Universe?
The Parallel Universe is a s3x-positive and body-positive space to dream and explore. It invites us to slowly merge into our desires, dreams, and longings. The Parallel Universe is a co-created, immersive, consent-based, and well-conceived art & community experience.
Guest policy In order to create an intimate and safer space we want to know or get to know everyone who is attending the parallel universe. Due to increasing demand, we can not invite everyone who applies.
You can visit any activity according to your comfort level.
